Volunteers Needed on Land and on the Water!
Do you have a boat, kayak, jet ski or surfboard? Do you wish to volunteer on the shores of Tiburon in one of our many volunteer opportunities on land?
Volunteers are the lifeline of our event and we can not make the day happen without your help. For those of you who have volunteered in the past, thank you! We would love to have you join us once again. For any newcomers, we invite you to come and see what the excitement is all about.
Safety is something we take very seriously at the Tiburon Mile. That being said we are looking for volunteers who own boats of any kind, as well as kayaks and surfboards to help us keep our participants safe while in the water. To do this, we need one watercraft for every 10 swimmers! We want to continue to provide a safe environment for the swimmers to compete. If you have First Aid and Water Safety experience, please indicate that on the Volunteer Application form. We do need to document that for our files!
Everyone who volunteers on the water on race day will receive free coffee, a bag lunch, commemorative RCP Tiburon Mile logowear.
We will need all water safety volunteers to check-in by 7:00 AM at our Volunteer Check-In Booth in Tiburon. Maps and more detailed information will be provided as it gets closer to the event.
Sign up to receive your exclusive and much sought after RCP Tiburon Mile “Surf Instructor” sweatshirt. Sharing your time will help benefit this year’s designated charity. All you need is the desire to have fun and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and lend a helping hand.
